Service Description
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Courses Choose blended or in-class course while booking Our CPR courses equip you with the essential skills to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking incidents across all age groups—adults, children, and infants—based on the chosen CPR level. These courses comply with the safety requirements set by provincial and territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines as well as training on the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Course Duration - CPR A: 4 hours in-class OR 2 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning* - CPR C: 5 hours in-class OR 3 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning* Completion Requirements - Demonstrate essential skills and critical steps successfully - Achieve a minimum of 75% on the written knowledge evaluation - Full attendance and active participation in the course Certification - Receive a 3-year certification in CPR Level A or C upon successful completion Recertification - CPR A: Recertification is not available - CPR C: 3.5 hours in-class OR 2 hours online + 2.5 hours in-class for Blended CPR recertification Course Content Level A: - Introduction to The Red Cross - Emergency response procedures - Check, Call, Care methodology - Recovery position techniques - Adult choking management - Assisting with medications - Recognizing and responding to angina and heart attacks - Stroke identification and response - Adult CPR and AED usage - Managing deadly bleeding Level C: - Includes all Level A content - Choking management for children and infants - CPR and AED usage for children and infants - Awareness of opioid poisoning and appropriate responses - Additional content as required by specific legislation Participant Materials - CPR Manual (available in print and/or eBook) - Comprehensive Guide to First Aid & CPR (eBook) - CPR Online course (for Blended learning) - Digital CPR certificate issued upon successful course completion
