In-class- 2 Days (13–14 hours teaching time) OR 
Blended- 4 hours online and 3-4 hours in-class.
 
This comprehensive two-day course is designed for individuals who require first aid and CPR training for work purposes or those who want to be better prepared to respond to emergencies at home. The course meets the safety requirements of provincial and territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest guidelines in first aid and CPR.

Completion Requirements 
- Full attendance and active participation throughout the course
- Achieve a minimum of 75% on the written, closed-book knowledge evaluation
- Adherence to the Red Cross Fundamental Principles
 
Certification
- Receive a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED upon successful completion
 
Recertification 
-Standard First Aid: 6.5–7.5 hours of training, including CPR Level A or C and AED, in accordance with local legislation
-Blended Standard First Aid: 4 hours of online learning followed by 3-4 hours of in-class instruction

- Managing airway emergencies
- Addressing breathing and circulation emergencies
- First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest

- Managing head, neck, and spine injuries
- Treatment of bone, muscle, and joint injuries
- Responding to sudden medical emergencies
- Recognizing and treating environmental illnesses
- Poison management, including opioid poisoning
- Additional content as required by specific legislation
